The IIC acts, since its foundation,  in the communications field, meant in the broad sense of the word and including goods and passengers transport and data transfer.

The activities of IIC range from  events setting,  scientific research,  design and development of European projects,  formation activities,  informatics realizations, and promotion of scientific prizes.
